Thought I'd start this thread from Chris's first WR episode, even though there isn't too much to comment on so far because he was in it so briefly tonight. Anyone else catch him in this? And does anyone actually like the Beeb's end credit-squishing 'policy'? Particularly not a 'fan' of it tonight.

Yes... BOOOOO with the Credit squeezing... get rid now BBC!

But onto Chris, I thought its was a poor performance, the way he drove the car wasn't too convincing either, I hope he improves in future episodes

I hate the credit squishing! Managed to catch Chris's name though. :) I've never watched WR before, but really enjoyed tonights eppie and lovely to have Chris back on screen even if it was slightly brief! :)

I hate the stupid new BBC end squishy credits as well, grrrr  Whoever thought they'd be a good idea

Really enjoyed Waterloo Road tonight though, love the show! Poor Izzie though :(

It was good to see Chris on TV again :)

Well that was a nice little surprise. Almost choked on my mini roll! I was actually watching The Bill and just did a little channel hopping during the ad break when up popped Chris barely 5 seconds after I flicked onto BBC1. What are the chances? I thought I was seeing things at first. All I saw was Chris dropping off some blonde bloke in his car. Were there any more scenes? I don't really watch Waterloo Road but I guess I'm going to have catch future episodes now. :)

Well it was a slightly longer scene this week and what there was, was ...*thinks of a way to phrase it* .... very enjoyable! :p Loved the jacket! :)

Well, still only the one scene again tonight, but rather a 'different' one to the one we got last time....

That poor poor blonde bloke (still haven't caught his name) having to kiss Chris. And probably more than once to get both camera angles. You could see he was obviously upset having to have Chris lunge at him with his lips like that. I mean the trauma must have been terrible for the unfortunate fellow. I think for future episodes one of us should step in and take the burden of kissing Chris for him. As a responsible member of the community I volunteer myself to take on the duty of...

It's already been filmed?

Balls.

Chris is famous in the industry now, when a show needs a gay kiss, they phone up Finchy's management

What Finchy has done with the gay kiss is what Ken Morse did with the Rostrum Camera :)

Big Train!!!! :)

Does it say something about me that I let out a little cheer at the sight of Ken's name? Or indeed any time his name pops up in the credits on programmes - when I can actually see the bloody things?

Probably.

A few more scenes with Colin tonight:) although somewhat annoying (understatement) that they kept cutting to a different scene just as we could begin to enjoy the fact that he was there at last! But... nice to see Matt stop treating him like a dirty little secret eventually. :) (Who did that remind me of I wonder... ;) ) I even heard Matt call him Karl! lol :) o.k... what he actually said was "She's supposed to be my friend Col" - but for a magical little moment it was almost like Karl was back on our screens again! :)

More episodes, more from The Finch. Some nice bits and pieces with Chris in tonight. Thought that holding hands 'moment' was lovely.

And see the Beeb finally 'allowed' Chris to feature in the credits before they got 'minimized'. The Beeb almost let the credits go unsquished this time, too...almost... And as for the title music....
