New script finished & laptop editing

This is a late update. The script for our new project is now complete and pretty much locked. It's a black-comedy splatter movie about a serial killer, and that's all we can say about it at the moment. We have visited a special effects company (who are ready to go on it) and it's all looking good.

We will be approaching investors pretty soon and will be looking into getting some horror genre icons involved in doing some cameo appearances in the film. Some names thrown up were Doug Bradley (Pinhead in Hellraiser), Ian McCullough (Zombie Flesh Eaters, Dr Butcher M.D.), Eileen Daly (Cradle of Fear, Razorblade Smile). However whether the investors allow us to pursue 'names' is up in the air at the moment.

On another note, I'm trying to sort out some kind of laptop editing set-up. I've had a laptop since September and it has a firewire port and is a lot faster than my desktop system. I'm now looking to find some high capacity/speed external firewire hard-drive. I've researched this and found that you can get them at about 250 gigabytes. This would be great. I would be able to edit whole project then pass the hard-drive onto Paul who could work on it further. Then Simon could work on the project, adding music and sound effects.

I think this could really make the process easier. Hopefully I can get hold of one of these drives and get editing sometime soon. Certainly would get Diary of a Bad Lad edited a lot more efficiently!

Still working hard,
