We will probably have some Finchy Friday pics up next Friday as we're off out shooting some pick ups tomorrow in Waterfoot. Spread the word Joanna! Let's see if we can get a few of our old members back on the site.
Fran, LovelyLaura, The Rachels, I'm talking about you :)
Well I'm back, despite NOT being included in the totally sexist-looking list above!

I did notice some mention of a Premiership season Thread somewhere, and although I may feel like commenting in that one too, I'm going to restrain myself in case it's tempting fate.

At least not until we have 40 points + in the bag.

Dave.

I'll look forward to your post in another 33 years maybe :)

Funny how being a Burnley fan can turn even the most optimistic of people into a "glass half empty" one isn't it Cop?

Anyway, while I'm here (again), I may as well take this opportunity to thank the girls who turned up for Sunday's pick ups at fairly short notice. So that's a big thank-you (in no particular order) to

Bad Sarah, Good Sarah, Sophia, Sharon, Stacy, and Jen.

I still haven't heard a plausible explanation for the Good and Bad part - maybe we'll never know.

Dave.

The girls were fantastic and I thought Sophie stepped up amazingly well considering it was a kissing scene. Although it's only a brief couple of shots her performance was very good. Good to work with as well which is always a bonus.

I felt bad we couldn't feature every girl more prominently, and they had to wait around so long while we sourced a smoke machine and some blackout for the windows. What a great bunch, I hope each of them got something from it.

The footage is now cut into the film (both morning and the afternoon) and it's worked out well :)

And as for you Mr Truck, you did a splendid job once again of finding us some people to be in the film. Really excellent work, you've become a key person in the Bar Stewards story. And to think you heard about it when we did that Radio Lancs shout out on the Tony Livesey show. So glad you were listening in that day :)

I'll second that! Great work Dave and good to see you again. I also thought all the girls did a brilliant job - they all joined in, had a laugh and didn't once complain about having to wait around. Oh and they were all very pretty which is a bonus!! I enjoyed the day of filming and glad it's doing the job Mike ;)

It came about when Mike and I were setting up the girls' positions on the set, one Sarah was in the right position, the other Sarah was unknowingly in the wrong position and had to be moved slightly. She was then labeled Bad Sarah. :)

It was good despite the hold-ups. I think part of the joy of filming Bar Stewards has been seeing the behind the scenes craziness and yet largely thanks to Paul Gordon and his lighting rig it all looks nice in front of camera. The way a simple empty function room was converted into a slick looking busy bar was quite amazing.

The edit you started watching is much more advanced now Chris. I watched through those same scenes and the difference, now the rough cut has been tidied up and deliberated over (a smooth cut  ), is really quite incredible. For example the bench scene with Layton and Cunty is now much much smoother thanks to a slight change of takes and better editing. Amazing what editing can do - it's fried my brain though.

How do everyone, since dave gave me a link to this website i thought id join and have a look into what u guys actually do and also to see the progress of this film, i know im only in it for like a few seconds but theres still plenty of room for enthusiasm about it. This was my first time on a set of any kind and i was expecting some waiting around but it didnt bother me was still a good experience and i thank u all for the opportunity, it all helps.

Not many know this but i have been working on a script for about 5 years the final draft is just being done and about halfway through it so it was also good to see the production side of this to see how it all works, i consider all of this a learning exerience as im interested in doing stuff in front of and behind the camera, so its all good.

thanks again to dave for allowing me to come along, and also to chris i'll remember ur advice for my audition next weekend o_O (look over their heads, dont look at them)

Thanks for coming along Jen :)

We still have a couple of shoots that you may want to come along to if we didn't bore the heck out of you last time ;)

I've just edited a Finchy video blog together from last weekends footage. Jen makes a fleeting appearance. For anyone who wants to stay up late for Finchy's blog I'll have it online later.

Hey you gang of bar stewards:)...it's me 'good sarah' haha.

Thanks for shedding some light on the reason behind the nicknames Paul, I had no idea about it myself!

Just thought I'd say thanks for the opportunity, really enjoyed the day and loved seeing what goes on on set. It was great getting to work with all you lovely people...would love to do it again, if you want to use me!! :)

Cheers for putting up your photographic record of that day's filming, Dave. And thanks for the extra info you've just given me... I've now done a pic link to your album in my BS guide.
