What sort of helicopter will it be? That knowledge will determine how far away the microphone will need to be, and where to position it (relative to the aircraft), assuming you're filming the takeoff from the ground.psycosean said:

How much are you paying? I know someone with a gazelle who could do with the cash & may work out cheaper. I'm surprised it can't be done for free: All you do is film the talent running to the helicopter and getting in. Then while he's getting out you set up a different shot from behind the aircraft and film the helicopter going off on a paid job.
