And the bidding is over, but the camera they used to shoot it with was up for grabs on Ebay.

Shouldn't the listing read: "This is the camera that wasn't used to shoot Cloverfield"?

No, because they did use it. HVX200 for the opening scenes before the VFX kicked in. Viper and F23 for VFX purposes.

Though the Ebay listing is a bit confusing. Up top it says it was barely used, and later on in a reply to a question it says:

Just to be clear because people have been messaging me about this: This IS the camera that was used to shoot the movie. It was used to shoot many of the scenes in the film. Thanks again for looking.
