Half Life 2

I've been playing that, Portal and Team Fortress 2 recently. Anyone here have a Steam usertag?

I have one! I just started a half life session after a half year hiatus - Only because I got a new PC with the power to max out all the display settings, but I've more or less abandoned it partway through. It's funny how something as immersive and atmospheric doesn't really need eye candy, and you only need to see high dynamic range lighting or objects properly reflected in water once or twice and the novelty quickly wears off.

I planned on doing a short machinima film choreographed entirely in the source engine world using Garry's Mod - I'm just too introverted to get all the voice talent I need for free. Plus my setup here is shit, so I'm stuck for somewhere to record the dialogue without the sound of PCs, kids and a nagging wife <B) in the background.

Interesting, I'm playing on the minimum settings, and I did wonder how much difference it would make with a better video card. Team Fortress is my thing at the moment, the different classes make it so much more involving. I still love Portal though, and I can't wait for the sequel!

Just bought both TF2 and Portal. Not played the latter yet - too addicted to the former...

The Portal theme music is brilliant! Should be picked up by someone for a TV ad., then get released as a single so it can worm it's way into everyone's brains. Then I can release my remix I did about 6 months ago.

I haven't played the game though.

Portal is addictive too! How do people with two addictions cope? OK - I could cope with the concept of addiction to Sex and Drugs and Rock & Roll because they each use a different orifice. But these two use the same "interface".

I'm only addicted to "ines". Caffeine, nicotine, etc. I used to have Paroxetine too, which probably explains a lot.

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed I never meet a girl called Maxine.
