I used to work for cineworld. Peter Kay came in one day and kindly asked if it was ok if he took his butties in...we let him.
See, that's what Adam Glennon should've done. He should've said he was Peter Kay.

A diabetic Peter Kay.

Here is one for Birty

Man dies in cake-eating contest

An inquest is to be held on a man who died during a contest to see who could eat the most fairy cakes.

The man, thought to be from Birmingham, collapsed at a Swansea nightclub during the event at the end of a party to raise funds for an art exhibition.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances following the incident at the city's Monkey Cafe and Bar early on Friday. The coroner has been informed and the family have been told.

It is believed attempts were made by staff and customers at the nightclub to revive the man. In a statement, club owners Amanda Davey and Paul Dyke said: "We are all devastated by this tragic accident.

"We are all in shock.

"It was a tragic accident and very sad and should serve as a cautionary tale.

"Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family."

A South Wales Police spokesman said: "There are no suspicious circumstances and a file is being prepared for the coroner."

I did! Living next to a train track I'm used to the house shaking but this time it was a gentle rumble and no trains were going by. I thought, 'Hello. Earth tremour!'

I've felt a couple before but tonight's was definitely the strongest I've experienced.

I was led up against the wall in bed, and it felt like something pushed the wall from behind me... a bit like that bloke in that mobile phone ad, do you when he pokes that girl, you know how he pushes the window into the café…

I went upstairs thinking somebody was breaking in, I couldn't understand why there was so much movement, yet but no noise... it sounded as if there should have been a massive bang but there wasn't... I came back to have a load of people on my MSN asking if I felt it too.

I have never felt anything like it before

It's a weird sensation, isn't it?

I was watching Clocking Off in my bedroom and just felt a gentle shaking through my bed. I put my hand on the wall and saw the light shade wobbling. It lasted about 20-30 seconds.

I was sat on the sofa watching TV and felt it!! My poor little brain couln't fathom what was going on. There was a low rumble and my sofa started shaking. My first thought that someone was shaking the sofa but as nobody was there I was sure I was having a paranormal experience! The dog started barking too.

epicentre apparently near grimsby and 5.1 on the richter. Quakes in the uk this strong only happen once every 10 or 20 years. A very strange experience!

Yeah, it was just before 1am that I felt it here in the West Mids. In bed reading at the time, and there was an initial feeling of wondering why on earth my bed had suddenly turned into a vibrating one. Quickly assumed, though, that it must be the result of an earthquake. There had been a similar one a number of years back, after all (shortly being reminded that that one happened in 2002, with the epicentre being the West Mids...Dudley). It lasted a fair number of seconds, too, and was strong enough that, even after the tremor itself seemed to die out, I could still feel the vibrations from it for a very brief period afterwards.

Sky News were quite quick to start their reporting on it. Think it was around 10 or so minutes after it'd happened before they had up the 'breaking news' about it! And every time I checked back to BBC News 24, there was nothing on about it at all.

But bless Sky News. They really were making an effort to eke out everything they could on all this. The woman newsreader (sorry, don't know her name) was talking to various callers from around the country, trying to find out what they'd experienced, etc, and both her questions and their responses ended up becoming practically identikit. Sort of got the point when caller after caller was saying how, yes, the tremor made their house shake, yes, it happened around 1am, they were in bed at the time, they could see other lights on in the street, it was too dark to know if there was structural damage to their properties....!! Lost the will a bit after a few of those and just watched my Damages (anyone else watching this amazing show?) recording! And the newsreader was also asking people, in all seriousness, if they'd been someone who'd ended up with things falling off shelves! Well, you had to hear it, really!

Yes I watched Sky News too... they really tried their best to make something from it, instead they had little old ladies from the countryside phoning in, telling the nation they got woken up... thats it.

At one point, they asked us to send in any pictures of any damage caused, I felt like amusing myself by tipping a bottle of milk onto the floor and taking a picture of it on my phone, just to see if they would broadcast it.

BBC News was American News at the time.

Think that must have been when I was watching Damages, too! :p

Btw, do you know roughly between what times BBC News 24 concentrates on American news?

They're like that on Sky News, though. They'll try their damnest to bleed any breaking news item dry before they leave it and move on.

The other week I had to laugh when one of their rolling yellow breaking news tags was going across the screen to announce the astonishing news that first class stamps were going up by 2p. I'm glad I was watching Sky at the time that news broke. I like to be abreast of all the important things.
