Still gives me shivers... I remember seeing that live on Sky after my mate told me about the first building. Watching people go to their deaths live on British television was a disturbing experience.

What a fucking world we live in.

I was in my bedroom reading football news on Teletext, and I was half listening to what was going on, I didn't realise it was the news, it sounded like docu-drama

I was in preston town centre killing time before going to warrington to buy my video camera. I was in the bull ring of St. Georges shopping centre and i saw people all stood outside the shop I thought they were queueing because there was a sale on. Then I looked inside the shop and it was empty.

So I thought they were just letting people in one at a time.

Then i saw the screens and realised what it was. I had somewhere to be so I couldnt stay and watch, so I put on radio 4 in the car. I thought they would have some decent reporting, but there were things that on tv you would have seen straight away, where the planes hit etc, and these were surprisingly not explained on radio. The BBC prides themselves on their excellent journalism, then when a story like this falls in their lap they run about like headless chickens.

So I got my camera and then watched CNN for the next week.

I was driving a bus at the time around town. I kept seeing people looking in TV shop windows, then hearing people on the bus talking about everything, some saying, "have you heard about that earth quakein America", others about "that accident". I wasn't until a lot later in the day that I got the right story. And AS PG, it was all I watched for ages, flicking between CNN and Sky news.
