Back at the pub - video

We thought we'd finished at the pub but we're back there to pick up what's left to do. As I'm now the proud owner of a Sony EX1 camera I thought I'd have a mess around with it between takes. And also thought I'd try out Vimeo.com for video hosting. Both appear to be very good

Cop...Have your pics got anything to do with BS or are they test shots from something else?

All three grabs are from the video at the top straight from the timeline, though obviously compressed to hell.

Cop's pics are from a video we did for a band local to him. It was shot somewhere in Yorkshire, can't remember where. Wiggy wasn't involved apart from the loan of his camera. They're nothing to do with Bar Stewards.

Wiggy said last night that he would post some screen grabs but he didn't want to embarrass me...

We filmed it at The Ritz........... in Brighouse

They are a band called Souled as Seen, the lead singer makes Fudge at the Fudge Factory who recently moved to bigger premises in Whitworth, Rossendale.

They used to be on our industrial estate in Bacup, and since they left its never really been the same since. I would be editing away, then from nowhere this scent of bubbling milk chocolate would come into the office.

I did try to shoot some more video for last nights shoot, but the weather was too bad and I didn't have a rain cover for the EX1. But we did manage to get more of Bar Stewards shot

ps: Wondering if it's maybe a combination of the venue lighting and what Cop's enhanced onto the shots afterwards. Or not. Maybe Cop would care to explain...

Yeah, I used Final Cut Studio Color (or Colour!! )

In basic terms after you have finished editing, you can alter the colours. I have to explain, that the colours might not have been as purple as in the original footage. If I have time next week I will try to find the raw footage and you will see what I did to the image.

And yes I have just come home from getting really pissed from getting most of Louise stuff done. And I know I'm pissed as I feel like I'm going to be sick... Which is normally the confirmation that I have had a good night, and plenty of Classic Sambucca's... I am a professional at being sick too!

That's where you're going wrong Cop - only film big gigs with full lighting rigs, let the lighting engineer do all the work, leaving you with much more time to drink!

Sometimes the other cameras might be differently exposed, or blued up or whatever. So you alter the colours to match up again. For example, Mike footage looked a lot warmer than mine, but using the Color programe, I could easily fix them again
