At the weekend, Paul Gordon decided to expel what can only be described as an airborne plague into the air, right during a scene in which Chris had to shed a tear. Now that's un-fucking-professional! Chris soldiered on despite the foul stench. And afterwards he didn't even get angry when Paul Gordon was laughing like an infant in the corner.

I'd love Bale to have a pop at Gordon for one of his awful guffs. Please read this Mr Bale, and tear Gordon a new arsehole. Actually that's probably the wrong thing to ask for as his old arsehole creates enough mayhem as it is.

I was in restaurant in Cannes after we had been over charged for a bottle of wine. To avoid confrontations, I wanted to leave, but when the manager threatened Paul Gordon ("I'll break your fucking nose you c*nt") I wanted to hang around... I would have love to have seen that.

In fairness to the accent thing, Christian Bale has been acting since he was a child and has lived between the UK and America, as well as moving around to other parts of the world, for nearly 30 years. That's going to do something chronic to your accent.

I'm with Bale. If the DoP had acted like that on my set I'd have sacked him on the spot, unlike Bruce "Talentless hack" McG, who stood there like a lemon. As for the accent thing, this is the guy who lost 60 pounds for a role. It's not unreasonable for him to adopt the accent when he gets in character, and stay in character between takes. Daniel Day Lewis does that all the time.
