Thought I'd start this thread now (Chris's ep is on a week today) for in case anyone wants to pass comment on tonight's opener. I imagine there'll be a 'next time' bit, too, so there's always the chance Chris might be glimpsed in that. Also....

(Note the change of character name: Danny Druffield, as on Chris's Spotlight CV, to Danny Simpson. Not sure why that's been changed. Danny Simpson sounds the more 'ordinary' name, to me.)

An official Beeb credits list for Chris's ep can be found HERE. The list is the same as the RT one except for a couple of additions below Chris's name ('Fireman' and 'Woman') and Poor Pooky getting left out.

Naughty Chris...Your character wasn't quite what you described him as in the podcast, was he?! :p Anyway, good work on the ep. You even managed to get a lil Simoniz reminder into that first scene, too, didn't ya?! ;)

It was an excellent episode, it's not appealed to me before... It was a bit like Deja vu and Minority Report but not as dragged out

I thought Chris was very good in it, I'm looking forward to Bar Stewards' release because I think it will show the diversity of his acting. I've noticed he is often cast as confident, assertive and very serious characters on TV, in Bar Stewards, he is pretty much the opposite.

i thought i liked the show but i don't, it's edge of your seat stuff and good acting but it's too doctor whooeeee

i thought finchy was excellent and he should deffo be on the box more, i just think there are way to many holes in this show for it to be classed as a drama.

in our next podcast chris we should see if you can re-make that wire thingy and maybe move one of them sliders around it without touching the sides!

Anyone else think that the background music (as in ep 1, too, actually) was a bit over done?

I thought it was supposed to be like that, but that's tele for you, most of the stuff that could be really good is normally average, dumbed down and made child friendly.

But it was much better than something like Torchwood, that shit ITV thing which escapes me but I thought it was much more gripping than that thing with Sue Johnstone in.

I can't say I have enjoyed anything with that Tamzin Outhwaite in before. Nothing against her, I am sure she is a good actress but programmes like Hotel Babylon, Red Cap and especially EastEnders just don't appeal to me...

But this was OK... I kept watching after Chris snuffed it.

I liked it, though it has its issues. Throughout I found most of the characters to be either reluctant or completely ego driven, so I laughed heartily when Ben said, "It's about your ego..." in the 'coming next week' spoiler after the credits. I'm into the whole theories of time and space stuff so that side of things kept me hooked. Decent enough tension in this particular episode but having missed the first one I don't know if it'll hold for the whole series. But so far, ok. Although the moody buggers might start to grate if they don't snap out of it.

Another fine turn by Chris. I genuinely gasped when Danny got hit by the car. Very good twisty body acting. Must've been an uncomfortable couple of hours. Though still not as bad as the Darwen Tower shoot, I'm guessing. ;)

Chris is a brilliant physical actor. Until we started shooting Bar Stewards we didn't know if he would struggle with that side of things. I'm not talking about just the running, but the throwing himself on the floor and getting dragged over a bar (amongst other things). There's one instance where he's pushed to a concrete floor and I thought we needed a mat. Chris just threw himself backwards without any fuss and landed without injury.

He could turn out to be the English Bruce Campbell! (for those who have seen Evil Dead 2)
