Bit of a shocker and only 54.

More information has come out as to the cause and it turns out he had surgery last week for neck and tonsil cancer.

I can't say as I'm a big follower as AM's work but at 54 that's tragic.

I don't know if it's appropriate or not but I'll tell this anecdote anyway, just in an attempt to lighten up the mood slightly.

I was at a film festival back in 2000 where we had one of our shorts playing, with a bunch of cast and crew members in attendance. John the Scone (aka John Yates) pointed at a poster for The English Patient, said the word 'minge' then walked off.

We didn't laugh at the time either.
