hello, just sifting through some footage and i thought i would upload this, it's pretty boring stuff and it shows how we try to amuse ourselves at the boring moments between takes.

there's a fair bit of finchy smiling for all you girls and birtie for everyone else

Erm, well, I can think of a few words to describe that vid, but boring is definitely not one of them!! Thanks Wiggy! The 'hair' question had actually crossed my mind (see, someone did notice.. ), I came to the conclusion that people do get their hair cut, even characters in stories. Although it might be hard to explain if it's long, then short, then long again all in one day.

I thought they were discussing Birty's hair because when we started shooting Birty's hair wasn't quite at the required length but we couldn't wait as we only had a couple of his scenes scheduled so we went with it anyway as most of his coverage was in close-up.

Chris's hair has been very consistent, there may be some differences with the stills because in some scenes he's just woke up, in others his hair is still styled from a night out the night before. And in other scenes his hair has been ruffled up. Or it's a month later. But in terms of length it's not changed. I think it's safe to believe that he could have run his hands through his hair when there's been an hour pass from scene to scene. If it's in real-time I could understand it but it isn't

No disrespect to the soap opera's that you ladies follow, but you generally get a stylist doing their hair from scene to scene so it's exactly the same. And if I'm honest that's not realistic. It's something borrowed from American soaps like Dallas and Dynasty where everyone looks pristine and plastic.

At least that's how I'm explaining our continuity errors anyway

Disclaimer

In this wee clip chris appears to be late but in fact he was 15 min early, bieng the good sport he is, we decided to set up a scene to try and give me problems to face on set so that in the event of cast not pulling thier weight i would not be intimidated by thier prescence. The scene was a rouring success and gave me the confidence to move forward and dish out proper rollockings.
