Wiggy, this is not the end of the matter at all. That video should not have been taken off at all for the reason it was initially taken off. If indeed there is another, more specific reason then fair play, but that wasn't why it was taken off at first, and that really disappoints me. Fran, kudos to you for coming on here and letting us know your side of things and I understand that you never asked for the video to be removed, that was someone elses (silly) decision. I must point out though (and this time I'm not being sarcastic) that not feeling able to comment on something that MAY offend your friends kind of freaks me out. My friends, (and admittedly I only have 2) don't hold that much sway with me. That doesn't mean that I don't like them both or respect their opinion but if I find something funny, distasteful or annoying I will do so because I think that, not because my fiends may or may not like it.
Secondly if offended in any way by the clip then this film may not be for you. There is some stuff in there prodding fun at Professor Stephen Hawking that is pretty near the knuckle. It is done in a lighthearted way with no offence intended. Indeed me and Booth both think the fella is pretty fucking amazing. However if any of your pals are wheelchair genius' then you may not like what you see. If not and you do like it then perhaps you should think about things a bit. It seems strange that you can laugh at one thing that isn't aimed at a group of your friends yet not laugh at another in case your friends are offended. Personally I don't think that's right, you should be offended by everything or offended at nothing. You shouldn't pick and choose. If however you are offended by everything then fair play, I can't argue with that. That's the trouble with drawing lines, there's no consistency. I'm not trying to have an argument about this and I again understand that you didn't want to make any of this public so sorry about that. And I can't help the sarcasm thing, it's just the way I write.
By the way, the thing about me having 2 friends, that's bollocks...I've got 4!
