The Ace Centre, Nelson, is holding a free special preview screening of Diary of a Bad Lad at 7pm, thursday 28 January. This is part of the run-up to the film's theatrical release where it will launch in cinemas across the North West, followed by London and the rest of the country, this Easter. Films like 'Paranormal Activity' have shown that 'no-budget' movies can go on to great success if the audience gets behind them - and, right now, the Bad Lad trailer is getting more than six...

This Saturday, 8pm, Jon Williams is featuring in Film24's documentary: "The Great British Film Industry", along with such as Mike Leigh and Ken Loach. Film24 contacted him quite some time ago because of what he'd said in an article in MovieScope magazine, and he ended up being one of the programme's consultants. If you don't get Sky we very much suspect that it will end up on Youtube... The documentary's director, Tim Fornara, is a big fan of Bad Lad. Maybe there'll be a Film24...

So what do you think of the new look of the Pleased Sheep Films site? Before you comment, please note that the forum design is only temporary and will be updated to match the slick look of the rest of the site later on this year. Also we're still adding the site content onto the site so there are still some gaps and pages that don't work. We're aware that the drop-down menu at the top of the page is out of action too. We're hoping it's fixed soon.
The Pleased Sheep team have arrived at the Cannes film festival where it's been very hot and sunny. After sharing a flight with Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce they travelled from Nice airport to Cannes. Even on day 1 Mike's gotten a little scorched with the sun and Cop has discovered that "Credit Crunch" Cannes is pretty expensive. The guys will update below with images and old fashioned text.

As you may have noticed, the Pleased Sheep website has gone back in time. This is because I'm working with a professional web designer to completely redevelop the website so we've reverted to the old software to power the main site. This is because I've got a bit of reorganizing before the site's redesign can be implemented. So smilies have gone missing, we've got the old site design back and I've made the site fit fluid to your browser for the time being. We're missing lots of news from...
Today Pleased Sheep Films finalised a contract with the Swiss company, DIVA.ag who will be representing Diary of a Bad Lad in the global video-on-demand/download/pay-tv markets. DIVA are a major international company with offices world-wide. They were very keen to represent Bad Lad because they think it's a "really good piece of work". It's a non-exclusive deal which means that we are free to work together in order to give the film maximum exposure. Bad Lad will soon be available as a...

From the news page here (this has pictures, whoo): http://www.pleasedsheep.com/news/p2_articleid/28 Hollywood-based Red Rock Micro are currently using the Bar Stewards montage on their cherished 'samples page'. The page is used to show prospective buyers of the Red Rock Micro M2 35mm lens adapter, the kind of quality that you can get out of the device, in professional hands. The M2 lens adapter was used to shoot 90% of our currently in-production feature film Bar Stewards. And the even...
Despite missing our initial flight, my suitcase losing two wheels and our bus not turning up in Nice, we eventually made it to Cannes. This year my and PG's hotel is pretty close to the action, a five minute walk away. Cop is staying a bit further away in the opposite direction. So Wednesday we didn't see much of the festival. But myself and PG headed to the Palais and not long after we heard Cop shouting something. I looked round to find him, Nick and Fiona had been to some red carpet...
Michael Booth, Paul Coppack and Chris Finch are to be guest speakers at the East Lancashire Film Festival next Thursday (March 13th) talking about filmmaking on a budget. Other speakers include West End star Joe Alessi and Coronation Street star Julie Hesmondalgh. For the full story click here - Accrington Observer.
There's been an increasing amount of Bad Lad traffic on the net recently, and I was doing some checking on Google. For quite some time there's been a couple of Chinese sites listed for Bad Lad. The first is a listings site - like a Chinese imdb, but I'd never clicked on the second, assuming that it was similar. So, this time I clicked on 'translate this page' and up popped a very major Beijing registered Film and everything else site. And, there in front of me, is a Bad Lad DVD with a cover...
Hi everyone. Last night we had to change our server so we could upgrade the database. As a result we're missing a few things, the smilies are a bit corrupted. Things will return to normal though :-o)
